not much in the way of reveiws on this unique fantastic record. here's a little blurb from the japanese in the classic japanese to english review style. next time you stop in to the true vine, ask to hear this!
"Melvin Jackson, a legendary bassist whose most famous works are in the Eddie Harris band, finally cut his own album. The sound that can be heard on this album fully reflects the emerge of Heavy Soul and Funk in the late 1960s thru early 1970s. On this album, he plugs his acoustic bass into electric filter box (for guitar) and he plays so spacy phrases. Very impressive funk sounds here. A-1 and B-1 surely proves his unique talents.
An unusual funky album in the Limelight label's last era."
